CONSERVATION DIALOGUE PROGRAMS
Around the globe, people are continually bombarded with daunting news of the world’s conservation crisis. The purpose of the Conservation Dialogues Program is two-fold: to discuss environmental responsibilities within the framework of faith, and to empower consumers, parents, community members, and caretakers to make a difference with day-to-day decisions.
This program is targeted toward religious leaders who have influence among their congregations and followers. Our aim is to harness the messages of sacred texts and explore them in relation to modern conservation issues. There is enormous power in religious belief, and a religious leader with the ability to be an environmental spokesperson can reach people who otherwise are ignored, indifferent, disenfranchised, discouraged or disbelieving of their personal ability to act. This program frames conservation as a moral issue that can be accessed, acted upon, and effectively addressed.
